Our instructors are all professional UAV pilots with experience conducting a wide range of commercial drone operations including videography, thermography, and surveying. Our chief instructor also has 30 years of experience as a commercial aviation pilot and flight instructor.
Being based at Goodwood aerodrome, the training environment is ideal. We offer dedicated training facilities with access to practical flying sites within the aerodrome restricted zone not normally available for drone flights. This means our students gain invaluable experience dealing with real world scenarios and safety considerations while they are operating in a supervised and safe training environment.
We are a UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approved National Qualified Entity (NQE) which means that we are authorised to conduct training and assessments on behalf of the CAA for the issue of a Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) (the so-called ‘drone licence’). The PfCO is the CAA permission that UAV operators require prior to conducting any commercial drone flights in the UK. It’s also the professional standard that many business require their staff to attain for their own UAV work.
